OCMI Helps Spread Awareness for World Down Syndrome Day

Yesterday, the OCMI team helped spread awareness about World Down Syndrome Day! Why socks, you may ask? Socks look like chromosomes and signify the triplication of the 21st chromosome, which causes Down Syndrome. That is also why it is celebrated on the 21st day of the 3rd month. Thank you, Carolyn Faria, for introducing this special day to the team to help spread the word for your son and the DS community.
