Repurposing Medical Space to Stay at the Cutting Edge of Research
OCMI provided CPM scheduling services for the demolition and expansion of the Children’s Medical and Surgical Center (CMSC) building on the Johns Hopkins Medical Campus. The project repurposed the original CMSC building for laboratory research and included the construction of a new North Tower Wing to further expand research space.
Our team’s first task was to analyze the contractor’s original schedule and develop a ‘cleanup’ plan report in which we highlighted existing issues, logic inconsistencies, and lapses in critical path sequences. We then re-baselined the CPM schedule in Primavera P6 to create a cost- and resource-loaded schedule that was compliant with contractual documents. We provided monthly updates for the contractor, which included detailed reports on float, delay mitigation scenarios, earned value, and overall project health. In addition, our team was involved in developing the baseline schedule for Package 2.
