Q: What do you think makes you unique as a team member?

A: My unique strength as a team member lies in my niche background that bridges construction and computer science. With a BE in Civil Engineering, I gained early exposure to BIM/VDC, which sparked my interest in combining technology with construction. This drove me to develop specialized skills in statistics and programming, allowing me to create better tools and data-driven solutions for the industry. This convergence of expertise positions me to contribute meaningfully to both the technical and practical aspects of construction innovation.

Q: Why did you choose to pursue a career in your field?

A: I was initially drawn to civil engineering and construction through my passion for architecture and the built environment. Living in Nashville, the evolving skyline has long inspired me. However, I’ve always recognized opportunities to improve the way we build—particularly in terms of environmental sustainability and social impact. I’m motivated by the desire to play an active role in creating more sustainable and accessible built environments, and that passion continues to drive my career.

Q: What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

A: Outside of work, I have a deep appreciation for both the outdoors and the arts. I love traveling to explore new places for camping and hiking. When I’m home, I enjoy various art projects, working with a range of mediums such as digital art, painting, sewing, and crochet.

Q: Who are some of your biggest influences?

A: I’ve been fortunate to have many incredible influences throughout my career. My mom will always be my greatest inspiration. I’ve also had the privilege of learning from four amazing professors—Dr. Bob Stammer, Dr. Sanjiv Gokhale, Dr. Douglas Adams, and Dr. Lori Troxel—who inspired me to think outside the box and drive innovation. My former colleague Josh Yang showed me the power in data analysis. My mentor, Annie Fulton, has been instrumental in helping me find my niche within the broad construction industry.
