OCMI provides cost estimating, dashboarding, and value management services to the University of Virginia on an on-call basis. OCMI supports academic and UVA Health non-capital and capital projects for planning, new construction, and renovations through our contracts. All work follows the latest UVA Higher Education Capital Outlay Manual (HECOM) version. Project Highlights:

Biotechnology Institute: OCMI completed conceptual cost estimating services for the design of a new Biotechnology Institute. The institute will provide state-of-the-art, multidisciplinary research laboratories, support space, and a vivarium and cGMP laboratory. OCMI developed estimates for two design options.

Newcomb Road South Streetscape & Roadway Improvements: OCMI developed a preliminary design estimate for various streetscape and roadway improvements to improve the pedestrian experience and enhance overall landscaping along Newcomb Road. The project encompasses approximately one acre of landscape and streetscape.

Battle Building Staff Fitness Center: OCMI developed a conceptual cost estimate for renovating 3,500 SF of space within the existing Battle Building to provide a new fitness center for facility staff.
