Athletics Complex and Aquatics Center
Managing construction of athletics facilities to support student enrichment
OCMI’s construction management team is supporting Francis Parker School in the development and construction of a new Athletic Complex and Aquatics Center, phase 8 of an ongoing development on the Linda Vista campus. With our deep-rooted understanding of CM@Risk and previous education expertise, OCMI was brought in to support Parker and the Gensler design team from the very on-set in programming and we have continued in our role as owner’s representative throughout design and construction. OCMI’s project team met with planning and building committees and local donors to field inquiries during project development, allowing for more community buy in.
The CM@Risk contractor, Level 10, was brought on during preconstruction and a GMP was secured toward the end of design. OCMI validated the contractor estimates and constructability review against our own reviews relevant to current market conditions and future projections.
The finished project will include the Student Life Center with two stories of activity space, two regulation basketball courts, locker rooms, multi-purpose rooms, and administrative offices to serve the school’s 880 middle and upper school students. The Aquatics Center will consist of a recessed 26.5 meter by 25-yard pool with 10 swim lanes, a shallow water portion, ADA compliant lift and walk-out stairs, changing room, and pool storage.
