Successful opening of the City of Sacramento SAFE Credit Union Convention Center celebrated with ribbon-cutting ceremony

On June 03, 2021, the OCMI team celebrated the opening of the Sacramento SAFE Credit Union Convention Center. The $245 million project, which began construction in December 2018, encompasses 508,563 SF between 13th and 15th Streets. Through the pandemic-related challenges, including days with up to 300 crew members on-site, and the critical coordination of this renovation/expansion, the project was a true team effort amongst all parties. The outcome is a nationally recognized convention center that is a transformative cornerstone of the downtown.
