The Bay Area Rapid Transit System is undergoing a $1+ billion program to upgrade and strengthen the seismic performance of the transit system. Part of this program involves life safety and operability structure design changes to a majority of the 1,900 aerial guideway structures that are seismically weak.

As part of the design team, O’Connor provided cost estimating and scheduling services throughout design of the Line R North and South aerial retrofit structures. Early in design, O’Connor also produced a master construction schedule for the project.
